Merry Christmas (Turkish Star Wars)

December 18, 2008

Hello all,

I’ve not been posting much lately because I’ve been so busy at work, but I thought I’d make a special effort since it’s Christmas and present you all with ‘Turkish Star Wars’.  Enjoy!

From Wikipedia:

Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam was released in 1982 in the midst of massive political upheaval. As a result, American-made films weren’t easily acquired and were often remade with a Turkish cast and setting……The musical soundtrack is entirely lifted from Western film hits of the time, primarily using Raiders of the Lost Ark. There are also scenes incorporating the music of MoonrakerBen HurFlash GordonBattlestar GalacticaPlanet of the ApesSilent Running and Disney‘s The Black Hole.”

A classic – for all the wrong reasons.

Happy xmas.
